Where BD AI information comes from

Every answer, record and status on this platform carries a state. This page explains those states, how sources are evaluated, when data is not live, how AI is used, and how to ask for a correction.

How sources are evaluated

Information is only described as verified when a person checked it against a named source and that check is recorded.

  • Official and primary sources are preferred, and the source link is kept with the answer.
  • The source date and the date of the BD AI check are kept separately; neither is inferred.
  • A source that cannot be opened or attributed is not used as the basis of a factual claim.
  • Where sources disagree, the disagreement is stated rather than resolved silently.

Verification states

These labels appear on Help Desk answers and on records across the platform.

VERIFIED
Checked by a BD AI reviewer against a named source, and the record of that check exists on the platform.
SOURCE AVAILABLE
A named source is attached and can be opened, but BD AI has not re-verified it.
SOURCE WAITING
No usable source is connected yet. Nothing is shown as fact, and no value is displayed in its place.
AI-ASSISTED
Produced with AI help from reviewed material. Useful, but not by itself a verified statement.
USER-REPORTED
Supplied by a person using the service. Kept as reported until it is checked.
UNVERIFIED
Present in the system but not checked. It must not be relied on as fact.

Project & system states

Status words describe the real state of a system, not an intention.

The real external data or service is operational and connected.
READY
Built and usable on this platform today.
IN DEVELOPMENT
Partly built. Not a finished service.
SOURCE WAITING
Built, but the authorised data source is not connected.
COMING SOON
Scoped and intended. Nothing operational yet.
EXPERIMENTAL
Available for trial only. Results may change or be withdrawn.

How AI is used — and what it cannot verify

  • AI assists with research, retrieval, summarising, classification and drafting. It is never the authorisation authority.
  • AI never converts unverified information into verified fact, and never upgrades a record's verification state on its own.
  • Retrieved pages, uploaded documents and other external content are treated as untrusted input; they cannot override BD AI policy or instructions.
  • When the answer is not supported by reviewed material, the system says the source is unavailable or requires verification instead of guessing.
  • Personal information is not exposed through AI responses.

The AI identity and answer policy is published at Identity & answer policy, and the governance position at AI governance.

Live data governance

No simulated operational data is published on this platform.

  • No vehicle position, GPS coordinate, transport count, route, schedule, traffic signal, weather reading, station status or emergency feed is generated, simulated or displayed anywhere on this platform.
  • A capability is described as LIVE only after a legitimate external source is connected and verified. A working interface is not a live source.
  • Where an authorised real-time source is not connected, the state shown is SOURCE WAITING.

Entity relationships

These are separate identities and are never merged. BD AI is not OMS IT, is not OMS AI Nexus, and is not a government authority, regulator or officially approved government service.

Relationship to BD AI: Provides technology and operational support to BD AI. This support does not transfer BD AI's mission, governance or verification authority, and it is not ownership, endorsement or certification.

Relationship to BD AI: Provides AI platform and technology capability that BD AI may use. BD AI remains a distinct identity with its own mission, governance and published policies.

A distinct BD AI project identity for Bangladesh transport information — licensing, registration, fitness, fares and complaint routes explained in plain Bangla with the official source attached.

Relationship to BD AI: A BD AI initiative, currently PLANNED. No transport surface is published, and no live vehicle, GPS, schedule, traffic, weather or emergency data is collected, produced or displayed anywhere on this platform.
